Luau 2009

Here are some of the Pictures from the Luau at Cypress Gardens on July 4th 2009 and most of the songs we played.

It was Cheryl on Soproano uke, Lynne on Bucket bass and I was playing concert, bartione and kazoo. Even did a couple with harmonica. We played 20 songs. I also talked about the history of the Ukulele and played songs from each era. We even played Tip Toe Through the Tulips when we were talking about Tiny Tim.

The park was decorated up with flowers, bamboo, fresh greenery, torches, etc. There were Hula Dancers, a Fire dancer, roasted pig, Hawaiian outfit contest and hula lessons. We got to play The Hukilau song while the Dancers did the Hula to it. One of the Hula dancers was Kathy from our local uke club, the Lowcountry Strumers. It was a fun time.
